Participation in IPM 2021 cancelled
Dear customers and business partners,
In the Corona crisis, commercial horticulture has proven that it remains agile and capable of delivering without restrictions. We are pleased to receive many good news from our sector, which cannot be taken for granted in view of the global economic and social developments. Our hope is that your company has also made it through these challenging times well so far and that you have remained healthy.
Against this background, some weeks ago we started our preparations for the International Plant Fair 2021 (IPM) in Essen. In view of the ongoing pandemic, critical questions quickly arose as to whether we should account for a regular participation with a large number of visitors as well as our own staff at our stand.
After careful consideration, we have now cancelled Klasmann-Deilmann GmbH’s participation in IPM 2021. The main reasons for this are:
- We do not want to expose you as our customers and business partners as well as our own team to the increased risk of infection with the coronavirus.
- Feedback from home and abroad already indicates that many customers and business partners will not visit the trade fair.
- We would like to continue to supply and advise our customers with substrates without restriction. The prerequisite for this is that our team remains healthy. Against this background, we are not only renouncing IPM 2021, but are also cancelling numerous other internal and external events.
Since we still value IPM, we are making a solidary contribution to the preservation of the world’s leading trade fair for horticulture by transferring the stand fee. Our hope is that in January 2022 we will be able to build on past successes together.
Already today, we would like to invite you, dear customers and business partners, to an alternative event. We are in the process of preparing an innovative online format with exciting and useful content for you. You can participate in this event at the end of January from your screen via the Internet. We will inform you about the details in good time.
