Cultivation Specialist (m/f/d)

Klasmann-Deilmann Benelux B.V. is part of the Klasmann-Deilmann group, a worldwide supplier of raw materials, substrates and innovative growing solutions for the professional horticulture industry. The organization has several sales and production locations worldwide. In order to meet the challenges of tomorrow, an in-house start-up team -partly based in Schiedam- works meticulously to develop, launch and scale one of our new products. The new product will expand our position as a leader in the sector in the field of sustainability and innovation contributing to a green horticultural industry.

What are you going to do?

You will work as a specialist and operator in the cultivation and production of our new product in a young dynamic team at various locations, both internal and external. You are a sparring partner for the growers and practical workers on location. Together with our cultivation manager you are responsible for decisions regarding the growth and operations surrounding our product. You are adept in developing and incorporating new growth and operational protocols. In general your tasks are:

• Coordinating various daily activities at multiple cultivation sites in the Netherlands
• You will be working on the operational handling, planning and further rollout of our cultivation
• You will also process harvested plant material into a substrate product with a view to increasing sustainability in various segments and applications
• You are part of the international start-up team that is working to launch and grow the new product into an international business unit.
• You will be involved in the planning and further rollout of the new product throughout our international organization

What we ask of you

• Completed study in the field of horticulture, preferably with a few years of working experience in plant cultivation or horticulture
• Enthusiastic team player with passion for cultivation, sustainability and green innovation
• Hands-On mentality with a practical approach
• Structured and independent way of working
• Good English skills
• MS office skills to analyze and present data in a structured manner
