‘Meet and greet’ for horticultural innovators

The GreenTech trade show was held on the RAI exhibition grounds in Amsterdam from 12 to 14 June 2019. For Klasmann-Deilmann, it was the second time we had been present at this event together with our partner Maan BioBased. And, as before, this was because of our joint activities in distributing the Growcoon.

The GreenTech is an annual opportunity for the international horticultural sector to meet, and for the trade to find out about the latest innovations and advances, especially in the technical field. Almost 12,500 visitors from 114 different countries came. And we scored a real success with the Growcoon.

The Growcoon took centre stage

Our main thematic focus was on the use of the Growcoon in modern cultivation systems such as hydroponics, vertical farming and a combination of the two. For many interested visitors, this was an ideal point of entry into intensive, professional-to-professional discussions with our international sales team at the venue. Fittingly, there was a new Growcoon brochure, advertising material, a new virtual-reality film – and even the exhibition stand was bathed in a magenta glow: ‘Purple is the new green’.

Growcoon product manager Franziska Watermann was happy with how the trade fair went: “The tremendous rate at which Growcoon is taking off in the USA shows how much potential this product has. And the commercial-horticulture sector in Europe and elsewhere is also showing increasing interest in our Growcoon. So it’s good to make full use of all the communications options at our disposal. The GreenTech event is a real opportunity here, because visitors and potential customers from all over the world visit our stand. And all of them take at least one completely new idea back home with them.”

“Besides the Klasmann-Deilmann team members from Geeste and Schiedam staffing the stand, colleagues from Singapore, China, France, America and Belgium were also present. A big thank you to everyone for your fantastic support,” stressed Carmen Mecklenburg (Head of Corporate Marketing).

GreenTech provides an ever-growing platform for the trade, and so Klasmann-Deilmann has already booked its spot for the 2020 event.
