Nygaia is nominated for the GreenTech Concept Award!
To drive and promote innovation and provide a stage for the most groundbreaking innovations, GreenTech has introduced the Greentech Innovation & Concept Awards. This year, Nygaia has been nominated for the Concept Award. (The award for an innovation which is not on the market yet but has all the potential to have a successful market introduction within 2 years). Fantastic news!
Egon Janssen (chairman of the jury) explains why the jury selected the nominations: ‘Due to climate change it becomes more important to secure the fresh food production at the lowest environmental footprint possible. The jury is excited to see the quick uptake of Data Science and AI in the market, resulting in a huge amount of innovations reducing energy, water and nutrient use in greenhouses.’
All eyes on Nygaia!
The winner will be announced during the opening of GreenTech on Tuesday 11th of June. The nominated innovations can also be admired at the Innovation Zone @ GreenTech.
The Rootzone Battle @ GreenTech: June 12, 11:15 – 12:00, Vertical Farming Stage
Nygaia Product Owner, Tjeerd de Looze, will join Grodan, Re-nubble, and Growing media Europe in a panel discussion, aka: the rootzone battle. It will take place on Tuesday the 12th of June, during GreenTech.
‘Growing media play an important role in indoor farming. The rootbattle will explore the view of various producers – from established to innovative – and their view on future developments. In addition, the importance of fact-base decision making, based on standardized LCA methodology will be discussed. Don’t miss out!’
