We are at the international import fair of China
The “China International Import Expo” (CIIE) has been held annually in the metropolis of Shanghai since 2018. This year it stands out of all fairs worldwide – it actually takes place on site. Our team from Klasmann-Deilmann China is also there and ready to answer the questions of interested trade visitors.
The CIIE takes place from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai. As the only agriculture/horticulture related company invited to this national level fair, Klasmann-Deilmann China is presenting itself to the interested public. “We aim at helping local growers improving crop quality and productivity” says Zhoucen Feng (Klasmann-Deilmann China). “With our expertise in growing media, our great production capacity worldwide and with our local production project we want to show, that we are a reliable partner – in both crop cultivation and substrate production. On the long run we hope to help improve quality standards of substrate in China.”
Personal contact under strict hygiene measures
To be able to hold such a trade fair in times of a pandemic, strict hygiene regulations apply. For example, our booth staff must have a negative corona test to enter the grounds. In addition, temperature measurements are carried out at all entrances. “We really enjoyed the first day at the fair. We feel safe. We’ve already had many interesting conversations.” reports Zhoucen Feng. Every exhibitor and visitor are required to take a PCR test within 7 days before entering the site. “We wear masks, wash our hands every few hours and remind each other to keep safe distance. Every half an hour, we wipe our tables and touchscreens with disinfection wet tissues, as required by the organizer. In addition, to minimize contact, we do not distribute business cards. Instead, we put up WeChat QR codes of our sale colleagues. So people can scan the QR codes by phone and add our sales colleagues on WeChat. Similarly, we do not keep a sign-up book. We made an e-book for people to sign up, which can be accessed through the WeChat account of Klasmann-Deilmann China.”
