Successful trade fair appearance
Klasmann-Deilmann Ireland at the GLAS 2024
The Irish horticulture sector met again in mid-July at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin. GLAS, the Irish trade fair for gardens, landscaping and sports turf, took place there. Also our colleagues Kevin Mahon and William Bailey took the opportunity to present our products.
The pleasant atmosphere, which attracted many interested customers, could be felt as soon as you entered the hall. There was a lot going on, and both known and potential customers stopped to find out about our latest products. There was particularly great interest in our peat-free growing media. With our raw materials such as wood fibres and coco fibres in different variaties, we were able to clearly set ourselves apart from other companies in the industry.
A highlight of the event was the panel discussion, in which a number of experts from the industry discussed current consumer trends, peat alternatives, sustainability, entering new markets, growth opportunities and much more. William Bailey provided exciting insights into the challenges and potential of peat-free and peat-reduced substrates. The audience was particularly interested in our strategy of reducing the peat content to such an extent that 50% of the international substrate mix will consist of renewable raw materials by 2030.
Overall, the trade fair was a great opportunity to meet existing customers and make new contacts. GLAS is invaluable for sales, networking, insights and learning opportunities. We look forward to the next steps and the continued positive response to our innovative products.
