Four Oaks 2025 – Strong presence and lively exchange in the UK market

At the beginning of September, Klasmann-Deilmann was represented at the renowned Four Oaks Trade Show in Cheshire, UK. In the middle of the extensive grounds, our team from the UK presented the latest substrate solutions and product innovations at their own booth, including TerraCoal, our new biochar for CO₂ compensation in growing media.

With over 4,000 visitors and around 250 exhibitors, the trade fair offered the ideal conditions for direct exchange with customers from the horticulture sector. Our entire team – Dean, Paul, Will and Fons – was on site and held numerous discussions over the two days, particularly with experts from the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Many customers expressed their satisfaction with the products delivered last year – especially in the division of ready-made substrates. The topic of peat-free solutions remains highly relevant in the UK market, and it is noticeable that more and more companies are venturing into the transition.

There was also clear interest in innovative approaches to more climate-friendly substrates – TerraCoal was presented for the first time in this context and aroused curiosity about its potential for the British market.

‘The trade fair was a good opportunity to maintain existing contacts and make new ones. It was important that we were represented with the entire team, because there was a lot going on on both days,’ said Fons. ‘The discussions were constructive throughout – and the direct feedback from the market will help us to focus our developments in the coming months.’

In addition to the professional exchange, the positive atmosphere at the trade fair also contributed to a successful appearance. Four Oaks is traditionally regarded as a meeting place for plant producers – and this proximity to practical applications was once again evident this year.
