Academic profiles: help take us forward!
A global market leader, we have a long tradition and ambitious plans for the future. We are continuously moving forward as a company, and developing our products and business areas further. With groundbreaking innovations, we expect to have a profound impact within the near future on the sectors we are involved in. And we’re looking for academics with outstanding capabilities and ideas to help us achieve our goals.
Do you have a degree in horticulture, agricultural or forest science, economics, engineering, mechanical engineering or another discipline that gets our enthusiasm going? If so, genuine prospects await you at Klasmann-Deilmann.
We are, in particular, seeking academics with these profiles:
- Horticultural Engineer (m/f)
- Economist (m/f)
- Mechanical Engineer (m/f)
- Business Information Specialist (m/f)
- Agricultural Scientist (m/w)
- Forest Scientist (m/w)
Growth is our core competency. We are the world leaders in the substrate industry. So there will always be a stimulating remit at Klasmann-Deilmann for experienced horticultural engineers. Whether it’s in the lab as part of the quality-control team; in the greenhouse doing trials with plants, raw materials and substrates; or being directly involved in developing new products and product uses. What’s equally important for us is providing our partners and customers in 70 countries with expert advice – from the office or on site.
In order to extract, refine and process our natural raw materials, we need custom-made machinery and equipment. As we aim to remain leaders within this segment, we are proactively involved in the conception, continued development and implementation of relevant projects. Our plant facilities require ongoing maintenance and modernisation. Our wheeled tractors, earthmoving dozers, excavators and wheel loaders require adaptation to meet the highly specific challenges of our sector. So we have stimulating jobs to offer mechanical engineers: jobs that will take them further afield in Europe.
As a company that operates worldwide, with subsidiaries in Asia, North America and throughout Europe, we rely on powerful and secure IT systems. Here at Klasmann-Deilmann, specialists in business IT get to tackle work challenges including SAP, internal-communication platforms and further development of in-house IT structures. Continuous updates and enhancements, and implementing new applications, are every bit as important as the opportunities arising from the Industry 4.0 revolution.
We are a company characterised by an SME culture whose aim is to keep on growing. More than ever, we are reliant on our corporate headquarters managing our globally ‘branched out’ activities with commercial success and in line with strategic objectives. Which is why we’re looking for economists who will help to move us further forward in all relevant functions at the interface between Purchasing, Logistics, Human Resources, Finance, Controlling and Sales.
We have been managing large expanses of land for more than 100 years, and both land use and dealing with real estate are of increasing importance to us. In connection with our expanding activities within the renewable-resources sector, we are looking for Agricultural Scientists to ensure the sustainable use of our various sites, especially in Germany and the Baltic region, and to monitor our short-rotation plantations throughout their growth and harvest cycles.
Wood is among the raw materials that will shape the future. Especially in the Baltic states, we wish to further strengthen our position as an important provider of integrated fuel and logistics services for power station operators. We are also establishing our own operations producing fuels derived from renewable tree species, with additional production from services in the management of privately owned forests. We offer Forest Scientists the chance to contribute to building a forward-looking business unit of considerable strategic significance to Klasmann-Deilmann.
