In view of the continuing increase in demand for organic substrates, especially in the international arena, Klasmann-Deilmann has realigned its organic certification. At the beginning of 2019, the production of organic substrates was placed under the control of the international inspection body Ecocert. As the Ecocert Group is an internationally operating certification body with a high level of recognition, we hope to gain further trust from our international partners and customers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition to the sites in Sedelsberg, Sch\u00f6ninghsdorf and Geeste, which have been certified organic since 1999, now also our international production sites in Schiedam and Silute are certified with Ecocert\u201d, says Josef Rehme (Quality Management). “The change to Ecocert has worked out well. More than 200 recipes for organic substrates have been tested in accordance with the EU Organic Regulation. We have successfully passed all our audits this year and are very pleased that we can now offer certified organic substrates in all markets”.<\/p>\n
At the Schwegermoor site, we will continue to cooperate with Gr\u00fcnstempel. The reason why is easily understood: “A major customer who purchases two peat-free products from Schwegermoor wants certification by Gr\u00fcnstempel because of their high profile in Germany. We are making this possible and have received the update today”.<\/p>\n
