Stable root balls, healthy young plants, shorter cultivation cycles thanks to Growcoon

Growcoon
Innovative Plant Propagation System

Growcoon is a biodegradable mesh with an elastic and open structure. When used in propagation systems, Growcoon supports the propagation substrate forming a stable root plug.

Advantages at a glance

      • Optimal growing conditions in all established tray propagation systems
      • Less substrate needed due to loose filling
      • Fast and easy planting of fine cuttings
      • Quick root development for enhanced young plant performance
      • Stable root balls ensure high efficiency for transplanting
      • Shorter cultivation cycles
      • Low failure rate
      • Biodegradable

Tailor-made and 100 % biodegradable

Growcoon is the optimal system for all propagation methods such as sowing, rooting of cuttings, grafting, tissue culture and hydroponic systems. In combination with high quality Klasmann-Deilmann propagation substrates, the Growcoon forms a stable root ball.

The elastic and open structure of Growcoon supports a faster root development of young plants and forms a stable root ball. Advantages for the grower are shorter propagation times, enhanced young-plant performance and highly efficient transplanting.

Growcoon can be used in all established tray systems. It can be placed into the tray manually or automatically with a dispenser that is preconnected with common tray filling lines.

Advantages of Growcoon

Nine Standard Sizes

  • Nine standard sizes available for a wide range of established trays
  • Can be placed into the tray manually or automatically with a dispenser

Conical Shape

      • Exactly sculpted conical form for a wide range of standard trays
      • Provides support for the substrate and the young plant
      • Minimal spaces between Growcoon and the cell of the tray ensure a good micro climate

Open Net Structure

      • Stable and open net structure binds the substrate to the root ball
      • Free development of roots and strong root balls
      • Shorter cultivation cycles and highly efficient transplanting

Perfect Growing Conditions

      • Perfect combination of a loose substrate and a stable root ball
      • High quality young plants in shorter propagation times
      • Fast and easy planting of fine cuttings
      • Less substrate per plug
